Using KiwiGigs, the process of fulfilling a job request follows a structured workflow that involves job request posting, expert matching, secure communication, job completion, payment processing, and feedback. Below is a step-by-step overview on how this works:
Step 1: Post Job Request
- Customer (job requester) creates a job request: The customer posts a detailed (and free) job request on the KiwiGigs platform. They specify the service they need in detail, the deadline, and their budget. Experts can either apply for the job by responding to the customer’s listing, or be invited by the customer to submit their offer based on the expert’s listing on KiwiGigs.
Step 2: Select Expert Service Provider
- Customer reviews expert profiles: The customer reviews the profiles of the experts who applied with an offer or the ones they invited. The customer considers ratings, reviews, and the expert’s experience before selecting the best fit for the job. Additional clarification can be exchanged using the KiwiGigs secure messaging platform.
- Offer acceptance: Once the customer is satisfied with the expert, they can accept the offer.
Step 3: Communicate Privately on KiwiGigs
- Secure communication: The customer and expert can communicate via the KiwiGigs private messaging system. They can discuss job details, clarify expectations, and make any necessary adjustments before proceeding. No contact details, with intend to bypass the KiwiGigs platform, should be shared
- Negotiate terms if necessary: Through the messaging platform, both parties can finalize the scope of work, timelines and other terms relevant for the job.
Step 4: Make a Booking
- Customer books the service(s): The customer confirms the booking and pays the platform fee to KiwiGigs. This fee will be deducted from the total amount to be settled directly between the customer and the expert provider. Once payment is completed, the expert can begin delivering the service.
Step 5: Complete Job
- Expert completes the job: The expert is notified by KiwiGigs that the job can start and performs the work as per the agreed-upon terms. They provide updates via the messaging system if necessary.
- Customer reviews the work: Once the job is done, the expert marks the job as completed enabling the customer to review the results and to confirm whether it meets their expectations.
Step 6: Release Payment
- Customer approves the job: Once the customer is satisfied with the job, they will proceed to pay the expert directly.
Step 7: Provide Feedback and Reviews
- Customer leaves a review: After the job is completed and payment is settled, the customer can leave feedback on the expert’s profile. This includes a rating and review based on the quality of work and the overall experience.
- Expert leaves feedback: The expert can also leave feedback about their experience with the customer, which helps future experts to assess the customer.
